Saint John of Nepomuk Award
“We honour people whose lives bring hope, truth, service and reconciliation.”
Why it was founded, and what it stands for
We live in a time when the world is flooded with conflict, fear, social division and a loss of trust between people. And yet, all around us, stories emerge every day of people who help others, who forgive, who give their time, who save lives, who care for the sick and protect the vulnerable. But these stories often remain hidden.
The Saint John of Nepomuk Award was founded to seek out such stories, record them, honour them, and pass them on — as part of the international platform Stories That Change the World Through Faith.
Our mission is to connect nations through values shared by all cultures, to remind the world that faith is not only a matter of religion but above all the courage to do good, and to show that humanity is a universal language.

- Every story becomes part of the international database Stories That Change the World Through Faith. If it resonates, we will be in touch — it may be featured on television, included in the annual Chronicle of Stories, or nominated for the "A Story Touched by Faith" Award.

Submit your story →The Saint Who Connects Central Europe
Saint John of Nepomuk is not merely one of the most significant Czech saints. He is one of the few historical figures whose legacy has crossed the borders of states, languages and cultures for centuries.
History
Hundreds of churches, chapels, bridges and squares across Europe bear his name. Statues of Saint John of Nepomuk stand in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and beyond.
Why He Is a Patron
He became a symbol of fidelity to conscience, courage, truth, trust and service to others — values that are timeless and understood by people of every nationality and belief.
His Significance for Europe
The Saint John of Nepomuk Award is a symbol of the shared Central European space, held together for centuries by the same cultural, spiritual and human values — a bridge between people, just as his legacy has bridged the nations of Europe for centuries.
Collegium of Patrons of Trust and Justice of Saint John of Nepomuk
"Where trust is protected, justice can truly serve mankind."
Trust is one of the most precious values on which human society rests. Without trust, there can be no justice, no freedom, and no genuine partnership between people.
The Collegium of Patrons of Trust and Justice of Saint John of Nepomuk is founded as a community of individuals who wish to lend their name, experience and authority to upholding the values of trust, justice, responsibility, integrity and service to others.
Saint John of Nepomuk became a symbol of fidelity to conscience, of the protection of human dignity, of discretion, and of the courage to preserve the truth even at the cost of the highest sacrifice. His legacy transcends the boundaries of time, nations and professions. He is venerated as the patron of the seal of confession throughout the Catholic Church — which is why the value of confidentiality, conscience and discretion resonates with the legal professions regardless of personal belief.
The Collegium brings together representatives of the legal professions, public life, academia, business, the churches, culture and civil society. What unites them is not a shared opinion, but shared values.
"Trust is a commitment. Justice is a service. The legacy of Saint John of Nepomuk is an inspiration."

The Community Building the Award
The Award is an open platform for cooperation across sectors.
Institute of Saint John of Nepomuk
The short-term goal is to build a credible, internationally recognised Saint John of Nepomuk Award. In the long term, this Award is intended to become one of the programmes of a broader institution — the Institute of Saint John of Nepomuk.
The Award comes first — gradually earning authority, partners and tradition. Only afterwards will an institution with further activities and programmes naturally form around it.
Bridge of Hope of Saint John of Nepomuk
"Every gift is a stone. Every good deed is an arch. Together we build the Bridge of Hope of Saint John of Nepomuk."
The Bridge of Hope of Saint John of Nepomuk is a charitable programme of the Golden Blot Endowment Fund, born of the conviction that goodness deserves not only to be honoured, but also to be done together.
"A bridge is not built from a single stone. It is built from thousands of stones, held together by a shared will to help. In the same way, the Bridge of Hope of Saint John of Nepomuk is built from thousands of good hearts who believe that every person deserves hope."
Each year, the Saint John of Nepomuk Award pays tribute to people whose actions bring hope, help and humanity. Through the Bridge of Hope, everyone can take part in this idea.
Every voluntary gift, whatever its size, is a concrete expression of solidarity with people facing hardship. The funds raised support charitable and humanitarian activities, primarily through church and other trusted organisations that help people in need.
Goodness begins with the decision to help. Thank you for being part of this journey.
